Meal Planner | 24 June 2026

Written by Varun

We're excited to introduce the Meal Planner, a new module that lets your center plan meals by room, track allergens, reuse plans across the year, and generate the reports that support your CACFP/CSEFP subsidies. This is Phase 1 of the Meal Planner, with more capability — especially reporting — planned for the next phase.

What's New?

🍽️ Meal Plan Builder

Plan exactly what's served, to whom, and when.

  • Configure the meals served to students per room, for as many cadences as you need - daily, weekly, or monthly.

  • Build a plan by choosing the day, adding food items, and assigning multiple meal types (breakfast, lunch, snack, and more).

  • Switch to a monthly view to lay out an entire month at a glance.

📋 Reusable Templates

Stop rebuilding the same plan every week.

  • Save any plan as a template and reuse it again and again - across alternate months, every month, or week to week.

  • Create as many templates as you like (no cap), all stored under Templates for quick reuse.

🥗 Food Library & Allergen Tracking

A central food list keeps every meal consistent and safe.

  • Add food items once and reuse them; the system suggests existing items as you type to avoid duplicates.

  • Assign a category to each item (required) and record serving amounts by age range.

  • Capture the additional nutrition information used for CACFP reporting (optional, but recommended).

  • Mark allergens for each food item in a simple, quick flow

📄 Export & Print

  • Export any meal plan as a PDF ( choose the range or class you need ) and print it for classrooms or specific rooms.

📊 CACFP / CSEFP Reports

Download the first level of compliance reporting directly from the platform.

  • Summary report : An at-a-glance summary page suitable for CSEFP

  • Detailed tracking report : Shows how many meals were served, broken down by age plan

  • Both reports feed into the subsidy your center receives, so accurate data matters. Make sure designations are marked correctly for reports to be meaningful.

Why This Matters

  • ✅ Faster meal planning with reusable templates instead of starting from scratch

  • ✅ Safer mealtimes through clear, per-item allergen tracking

  • ✅ Classroom-ready plans you can print and post in seconds

  • ✅ Subsidy support with built-in CACFP/CSEFP reporting

  • ✅ Consistent records across rooms and cadences
