Getting Started - Part #1 of 7

We’re excited to see you start with Illumine!

Let’s begin.

The initial setup needs 15-20 mins of your time.

First things first.

1. Login to your illumine web account. Bookmark the login link.

2. Download the illumine mobile app on your phone.

Once you have logged-in, here are 7 STEPS TO UNDERTAKE RIGHT AWAY (this is at individual center level. If you have multiple centers and want to set up, please reach out to us):

STEP-1 : From the left panel go to, SETTINGS→ SCHOOL DETAILS, and add logo, school display name, address and contact details. You can also add ‘bank account details’ (even dummy works), so that you can effectively explore our billing and payments feature.

STEP-2 : From the left panel go to, SETTINGS→ ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM (roles & permission control), and assign what modules of the Illumine software the specific teacher, head or staff should have access to. This is important.

You can also create new roles as per your specific requirements and give appropriate permissions.

STEP-3 : From the left panel go to, MANAGEMENT → ROOMS, and add the different classrooms you have in your school or center. If you are just testing, we recommend you add at least 2 classrooms.

STEP-4 : From the left panel go to, MANAGEMENT → STAFF, and add the names of your staff members (including heads, teachers, helpers and other staff). Ensure to assign them their Role and Classroom, and to add their contact (phone or email).

STEP-5 : From the left panel go to, MANAGEMENT → STUDENTS, and add the names of your students. Each student needs to be added to at least one classroom. Once added, you should be able to see their profile listed - which is where you can add their parents.

You can add multiple students by choosing the ‘Bulk Onboarding’ option from the options available on clicking ⋮ (3 vertical dots)

STEP-6 : From the left panel go to, MANAGEMENT → STAFF, and you will see the list of your staff members. Click on each staff member, and from the profile page click on the ‘Send Invite’ option.

The staff member will receive their login credentials, as well as links to access their illumine account (both web and mobile app) over email and/or phone.

Please note that there should be at least an email or a phone number against the staff member. Only then the ‘Send invite’ option will be available.

STEP-7 : From the left panel go to, MANAGEMENT → STUDENTS, and you will see the list of your students. Click on ‘ ⋮ ‘ (3 vertical dots) and you’ll get the option to ‘Send Invite’ to all parents in one-go. Alternatively, you can go to each student’s profile page and click on the ‘Send Parent Invite’ option.

The parent(s) of the student will receive their login credentials, as well as a link to download their illumine mobile app (parent account) over email and/or phone.

Please note that there should be at least an email or a phone number against at least one the parents for the student. Only then the invites would be sent.
