We are excited to announce new updates to Illumine, focusing on enhancing parent communications. Below are the key features and improvements included in this release:

You can now provide feedback for unapproved posts 💭

Post approvers can now provide feedback on Unapproved activity posts if they require teachers to make any changes to the post before sharing.

Teachers can now view the shared feedback, update the posts accordingly, and request approval again. This ensures better communication and quality control over the activities shared with parents.

Approvers can click on 'Provide feedback' button as shown in the image below

Sample post with feedback shown below.

Approve All Activities with one click

You can now use the Quick Filter (as shown below) to view all 'Unapproved' activities and approve them with one click using 'Approve all' button. This bulk action feature saves time and streamlines the approval process for activities, making it more efficient for approvers.

Check all Posts uploads ‘In Progress‘

Certain activity posts with images, videos, files may take a few minutes to upload. In such cases, activities will be visible to teachers as "In Progress" uploads until all media files are successfully uploaded.

Once successfully posted, the activities will be moved out of 'In Progress' state to 'Published' state and shared with parents in their feeds.

If an upload fails, the activities will be marked as 'Failed' and visible under 'Failed Uploads.' See the screenshot below

How to post when media upload fails?

If an activity update fails due to partial media upload, users will get an option to either post activity with partial set of files or completely reject the post and start afresh.

For eg. in the above screen, we tried uploading 5 photos, but 3 of the 5 uploads failed.

In this scenario

  1. Users can continue to post activity with 2 media files only that were successfully uploaded. The failed upload of 3 files will be ignored.

  2. If users aren't satisfied with partial media upload, they can choose to Reject this post and start afresh.

Get a Quick Summary of Posts

You can now easily filter and view activities by their status, including "In Progress," "Failed," "Under Feedback," and "In Draft," in the Post Summary section. This feature helps teachers manage and track the status of their posts more effectively. They will be able to click on any of the cards and quickly filter all posts based on upload, feedback

status.

  1. Upload In Progress - Shows all activity posts where media upload is in progress. Such posts are hidden from parents until upload is successfully completed.

  2. Upload Failed - Shows all activity posts that failed due to failed media upload.

  3. View Feedback - Shows all activity posts which are unapproved and have feedback from the approver.

  4. Posts in Draft - Shows all activity posts that have been saved in Draft mode.

Stay tuned for more updates, and as always, we appreciate your continued support.
