How to Create Assessments

  • Navigate to Student Assessment on the left panel and click on Assessment from the drop down

  • Click on “Create Assessment” > Set an assessment period > Select an assessment template from the dropdown

  • Select a student for whom you want to create this assessment

  • You can check the box to auto fill milestones through observation for development areas that are a part of the assessment and also add feedback for the development area

  • Add comments and next steps, you can make use of AI writing assistant to get any suggestions, paraphrase or translate the same

  • Attach any media files or documents if required

  • Save the assessment and you can also share the same with parents instantly.

How to Record Observations?

There are three ways you can record observations:

  1. Observation: A note of an actual child’s behaviour, performance while doing an activity

  2. Reflection: Inference from observing the activity performed by the child and what action teacher would like to take to help child improve in that

  3. Concern: During a lesson or activity if the school sees any issue child’s performance they can add it as a concern and work on improving it

  • Navigate to Student Assessment on the left panel and click on Observation Record from the drop down

  • Select Add Observation / Reflection / Concern

  • If you select create observation, add the observation date

  • Select one or more students, select staff if required

  • Add description, next steps and you can leverage the AI writing assistant to get any suggestions, paraphrase or translate the same

  • Attach any media files or documents if required

  • You can also add age band, select development area and link lessons to the observation if necessary

Follow the same process for recording reflection or concern. You can choose to hide the observation record from parents, not reflection or concern

How to Create Learning Journals?

  • Navigate to Student Assessment on the left panel and click on Learning Journey from the drop down

  • Click on create learning journey

  • Select student > enter date range of observation

  • You can choose to include staff observations, show milestones, show next steps in the learning journal PDF by checking the boxes

  • You can either save the draft to be edited later or share the PDF with parents
