Getting Started with Illumine for Parents| Parent walkthrough

We are excited to welcome you to Illumine, one of the easiest-to-use platforms for early education and childcare management. This guide will help you get started with downloading the app, logging in, and managing your child’s profile details.


Download the Illumine App

For Android Phones & Tablets

  1. Open the Google Play Store

  2. Search for “Illumine for Parents”

For Apple Devices (iPhone/iPad)

  1. Open the App Store

  2. Search for “Illumine for Parents”

Logging in to Illumine

All registered parents can log in using either:

  • their registered email address, or

  • their registered phone number


Option 1: Login with Email & Password

Steps:

  1. Open the Illumine App

  2. Tap “Login to Illumine”

  3. Select “Login with Email”

  4. Enter your registered email address

  5. Enter the password shared in the invitation email

If you cannot find the invitation email or forgot your password, you can use the “Reset Password” option to create a new password and log in.

Option 2: Login with Phone Number & OTP

Steps:

  1. Open the Illumine App

  2. Tap “Login to Illumine”

  3. Select “Login with Phone Number”

  4. Choose the correct country code

  5. Enter the phone number registered with the school
    (Please enter the number without adding “0” or the country code prefix manually)

  6. You will receive a One-Time Password (OTP) via SMS

  7. Enter the OTP to log in successfully

Managing Your Child’s Information

How to Add or Update Authorized Pick-Up Details

Steps:

  1. Open the Illumine Parent App

  2. Go to the Profile tab

  3. Select Parents & Pickup

4. Click on Add Authorized Pickup

Enter the following details:

  • Name

  • Relationship

  • Phone Number

  • Email Address

  • Address

Click Save. The authorized pickup contact will now be added successfully.


How to Add Allergy Information

Parents can add and manage allergy details from the Health & Safety section.

Steps:

  1. Open the Profile tab

  2. Go to Health & Safety

  3. Select Allergies

  4. Click Add

Enter the following information:

  • Allergy Name

  • Allergy Category

  • Severity

  • Symptoms

  • Emergency Action Plan

  • Additional Notes (optional)

Click Save, The allergy information will now be updated in your child’s profile.


How to Add Emergency Contact Details

Emergency contacts can also be managed from the Health & Safety section.

Steps:

  1. Open the Profile tab

  2. Under Health & Safety

  3. Select Emergency Contact

  4. Click Add

Enter the following details:

  • Name

  • Phone Number

  • Relationship

  • Email Address

  • Address

Optional:

You can also enable:
Set as Primary Emergency Contact then, Click Save

The emergency contact will now be added successfully.


Payment Setup & Invoice Payments in the Illumine Parent App

Parents can securely add payment methods, enable AutoPay, and pay invoices directly from the Illumine Parent App.

Note: Payment options will only be visible if your school has setup the online payment gateway for your school.


How to Add a Payment Method

You can add your preferred payment method from the Payment Profile section in the Parent App.

Steps:

  1. Open the Illumine Parent App

  2. Go to the Profile tab

  3. Select Payments

  4. Open Payment Profile

Under Payment Options, you can:

  • Add a Credit Card

  • Add a Debit Card

  • Add a Bank Account for ACH payments

Enter the required payment details and save the payment method successfully.


How to Enable or Disable AutoPay

If your school has enabled AutoPay permissions, you can manage AutoPay directly from the Parent App.

Steps:

  1. Go to Profile → Payments → Payment Profile

  2. Locate the AutoPay option

  3. Toggle AutoPay:

    • ON to enable automatic payments

    • OFF to disable automatic payments

When AutoPay is enabled, future invoices may automatically be charged using your selected payment method.

Please note: AutoPay availability and functionality depend on the billing settings and permissions configured by your school.


How to View & Pay Invoices

You can easily track and pay invoices from the Fee Payments section.

Steps:

  1. Open the Fee Payments section in the Parent App

  2. You will see:

    • Pending invoices

    • Paid invoices

You can switch between these tabs to view:

  • Outstanding invoices

  • Previously paid invoices


How to Pay an Invoice

Steps:

  1. Open the invoice you wish to pay

  2. Click Pay Now

  3. Select or enter your payment method details

  4. Complete the payment

You can also:
✅ Select multiple invoices
✅ Pay multiple pending invoices together in a single transaction

Once the payment is completed successfully, the invoice status will update accordingly.


Important Notes

Permission-Based Access

Please note that the ability to add or edit the above information depends on the permissions enabled by your school. If you see a message saying “Permission Denied”, it means the school has restricted access to make those changes. In such cases, please contact the school directly for assistance.


Parent Contact Information

For security reasons, parents cannot directly edit:

  • their own email address

  • their phone number

  • another parent’s profile details

These details are directly linked to your login credentials and can only be updated by the school administration. Similarly, adding another parent profile can also only be done by the school.
