AI Activities helps educators quickly create meaningful learning observations from photos, voice notes, and prompts. Instead of manually writing each activity, AI analyzes your inputs, generates activity drafts, and automatically tags students using Face Recognition, allowing you to review and publish activities in just a few clicks.

Before You Begin
Before generating activities with AI, complete the following setup:
Register students for Face Recognition.
Add profile photos for students.
Configure AI writing preferences.
Review the activity types available for AI generation.
Navigate to AI Activities
Go to:
Parent Communication → Activities → AI Activities
From here, you can configure AI, register students for Face Recognition, and generate activities.
Set Up Face Recognition
Face Recognition allows AI to automatically identify and tag students in uploaded photos.
To get started:
Open Needs Attention.
Select Face Recognition.
Review the registration status of your students.
You'll see:
Total students
Registered students
Students who need a profile photo
You can also choose whether Face Recognition should be enabled or disabled.
Enabled: Students are automatically tagged in photos.
Disabled: Students must be tagged manually before posting activities.
Register Students
To register a student for Face Recognition:
Search for the student.
Open their profile.
Add a profile photo.
You can upload:
A new image
Multiple photos from different angles
An image from the student's gallery
After uploading, the system processes the images and registers the student for Face Recognition.
Adding multiple photos improves recognition accuracy and increases the recognition strength.
Tip: Use clear photos from different angles for better identification.
Configure AI
Before generating activities, configure how AI should write observations.
Click Configure AI.
Here you can customize:

Observation Guidelines
Add custom instructions or keywords to help AI generate observations that match your center's documentation style.
Match Existing Writing Style
To maintain consistency, you can:
Paste one of your previously written activities.
Select an existing activity from your center.
AI will use it as a reference when generating future observations.
Customize Activity Types
You can choose which activity types AI suggests during activity creation.
By default, several activity categories are available.
You can:
Remove activity types you don't use.
Add different activity categories.

Click Add Photos.
Upload one or more photos.
Select the classroom.
(Optional) Tag students manually.
Choose how activities should be created:
Generate a single activity
Split into multiple activities based on the uploaded photos
(Optional) Enter keywords or a prompt.
(Optional) Add a voice note.
Click Generate with AI.
AI analyzes all uploaded photos, voice notes, and prompts before generating activity drafts.
Depending on the number of files uploaded, this process may take a few seconds to about a minute.
How AI Generates Activities
Once generation begins, AI automatically:
Reads all uploaded photos.
Processes any voice notes and prompts.
Identifies key learning moments.
Groups similar observations together.
Creates activity drafts.
Activities are not shared with parents immediately.
Instead, every activity is saved as a draft, allowing you to review and edit it before publishing.
Review Activity Drafts
After generation, review each draft before posting.
For every activity, you can:
View the generated observation.
Review attached photos.
Confirm tagged students.
Edit the activity.
Reject the activity.
Activities remain in draft until you choose to publish them.
Automatic Student Tagging
If students have been registered for Face Recognition, AI automatically tags them when generating activities.
If a student has not been registered or cannot be identified, you'll be prompted to tag them manually.
To manually tag a student:
Open the activity.
Select Tag Student.
Choose the appropriate child.
Save the changes.
Note: Only activities with tagged students can be published.
Improve Activities with AI
You can further refine generated observations using Improve with AI.
Available options include:
Make the observation shorter
Make it warmer
Add more detail
Improve grammar
Enhance the writing style
After reviewing the updated version, click Apply to save the changes.
Publish Activities
Once you've reviewed each activity:
To publish a single activity:
Open the activity.
Confirm the student tags.
Click Post.
To publish multiple activities: Click Post All.
Only activities with tagged students will be published.
Activities that still require student tags will remain in draft until completed.
Reject Activities
If an activity should not be shared, click Reject.
Rejected activities are not published and remain available for future reference.
View Published Activities
After posting, activities appear in your Activities feed and become visible to parents according to your center's sharing settings.
Rejected activities remain separate from published activities for future review.
