The whole family can now get their own illumine experience.

A student’s profile is no longer limited to just mom and dad. Schools can now add grandparents, relatives, nannies, guardians, authorized pickups, and other caregivers as family members, giving each person their own illumine login with the right level of access.

No more sharing parent accounts or asking someone to forward a photo, update, or attendance information.

Staff can add additional family members directly to a student’s profile from the illumine web app.

Each family member gets their own account, while parent accounts and access remain separate.

We have introduced a new section "Family Members" to manage contact and access information for individual members of the family ( shown below ).

Schools can selectively provide access based on what each family member needs:

This means a grandparent can stay connected to daily activities, while a nanny or authorized pickup can be given the access they need for attendance and pickup—all without sharing a parent’s login.

Give grandparents and other family members Activity Feed access so they can follow the child’s day, see shared photos, and stay connected to important moments.

Caregivers and authorized pickups can be given Attendance access, making drop-off and pickup easier using their own account.

Staff can set up family access directly from a student’s profile:

Open the Student Profile on the illumine web and nabvigate to Family Members section. Choose the option to Add Family Member and Enter the family member’s details and relationship to the child. You can simply select the features they should have access to.

Access can be tailored based on the family member’s role, helping schools maintain greater control over student information.

From the illumine Parent App, parents can view the parents and other family members associated with their child in one place.

Parents can find a new card Family within "More" tab on bottom navigation bar as shown below.

Once they click on Family, they will be able to view all family members details and find details on their app access as well.

This gives families better visibility into who is connected to the child, while each person continues to use their own individual account and assigned access.

One child can have many important people in their life—and now illumine supports them too.

Schools get more control over who can access student information, while families and caregivers can stay connected without relying on shared parent credentials.
