Enhanced Observations Feature | 24 June 2026

We've made a series of improvements to the Observations & Assessments workflow — helping teachers record observations faster, track milestones with less effort, and spend more time with children and less on admin.

📝 Save Observations as Drafts

You can now save an observation as a draft and pick it back up whenever you're ready , no need to finish it in one sitting. Start an observation in the moment, step away, and return to complete it later with everything intact.

🎯 Auto-Filling Milestones

Tracking progress just got faster. Milestones a child has already achieved in previous observations can now be populated automatically with a single click - no more re-entering the same milestones each time. This makes it easier to see how each child is developing and to keep their milestone records consistent and up to date over time.

👶 Automatic Age Band Selection

Based on the child's date of birth and your initial selection, the appropriate age band is now selected automatically - removing a manual step and reducing the chance of error. For flexibility, manual selection and multiple age band options remain available wherever you need them.
