đď¸ Split Tuition into Installments
You can now set up an Installment Plan for a term or a full year.
Set a fixed Commitment amount for a billing period, and Illumine splits it into a schedule of invoices, for example 6 monthly payments or 2 quarterly payments.
Each installment invoice is generated automatically on its own date, so your team doesnât need to create them one by one.
Go to Program â Add Program â Tuition Plan â Billing Cycle â Installments to get started.
đ¨âđŠâđ§ Let Families Choose How They Pay
Illumine suggests schedules based on your billing period. For a 6-month period youâll see:
Monthly: 6 payments
Every 2 months: 3 payments
Every 3 months: 2 payments
One time: 1 payment
You can select more than one schedule on the same plan, then pick each familyâs schedule when you enrol their child.
âď¸ Customise Dates, Amounts & Discounts
Need something different? You can:
Add a custom schedule with any number of payments
Edit invoice dates, due dates and amounts for each installment
Offer a discount for a specific schedule, for example a discount for families who pay One time instead of Monthly
Preview Invoice to see exactly what parents will receive
The footer shows when your installments add up to the full commitment, so you always know the plan is balanced.
đ Enrol Students on an Installment Plan
When enrolling students, choose the Installment Plan and pick the studentâs Installment Schedule.
Use Apply to⌠to assign the same plan and schedule to multiple students at once.
You can also see each studentâs Next Installment date and amount directly in the programâs Students tab.
Good to know: Proration isn't available for Installments. For students who join late, adjust their installment amounts or dates instead. Edited amounts must still add up to the plan's commitment. Use Save as Template to reuse the same Installment Plan in other programs.
These updates help your team collect tuition on a predictable schedule with less manual invoicing, while giving families the flexibility to pay in the way that works for them. đ
