Parent Payment Profile (Saved Payment Methods + Autopay)

We’ve rolled out a new Parent Payment Profile to make tuition and fee payments faster, simpler, and more reliable. Parents can now securely save payment methods, set a default option, and use autopay so due amounts are charged automatically.

What’s New

Save payment methods

  • Save card details (Mobile App)
Parents can securely save debit/credit card details in the mobile app for quicker checkout next time.

  • Save ACH / bank transfer details (Mobile + Web)
Parents can save bank account (ACH) details from both the mobile app and web.

  • Staff-assisted ACH saving (Web)
Staff members can save a parent’s ACH/bank transfer details on the parent’s behalf via web.

Default Payment Method

Set a default

  • Parents can mark any saved payment method as Default.

Switch default anytime

  • Parents can switch their default payment method whenever they want.

Guardrail: the default payment method can’t be deleted

  • Parents cannot delete the default payment method.
(To remove it, they must first set another saved method as default.)

Autopay

Enable autopay

Parents can turn on autopay to ensure payments happen automatically.

  • Autopay ON

    • The default payment method will be charged automatically on the due date.

  • Autopay OFF

    • No automatic payments will occur.

Important: Autopay can’t be turned off by parents

  • Parents cannot switch off autopay once enabled.

Why this matters

  • Faster payments: Saved card/ACH details reduce repeat entry and checkout time—especially on mobile.

  • Fewer missed due dates: With Autopay ON, the default method is charged automatically on the due date.

  • Clear, predictable behaviour: A default payment method removes ambiguity when multiple options are saved—and parents can switch it anytime.

  • Fewer payment failures: Parents can’t delete the default method, preventing accidental autopay breakage.

  • Less admin friction: Staff can save ACH on a parent’s behalf (web), helping resolve setup/payment issues quickly.
